Peter Obi Defends Funding Mecca and Israel Pilgrimages as Governor

Peter Obi says no non-Muslim governor has sponsored more people to Mecca than he did. He also said he sent people on pilgrimages to Israel because he believed it was the right thing to do. I do not think Obi should be singled out. Political leaders at the federal, state and local levels have long used public funds to sponsor religious pilgrimages. I believe these scarce resources should be spent on services that benefit more Nigerians. When will we free ourselves from the grip of religious spending in public office? Wetin I even know sef? I am just an ordinary Nigerian policewoman.
