What shapes our identity is not the clothes we wear, but the standards we uphold. Discipline builds trust, and trust strengthens our character and influence. Daniel chose not to defile himself with the king’s food in Babylon. His decision to honour God set him apart and brought him favour, as recorded in Daniel 1:8–9.
