Report Claims Modric Was Left Ashamed After Croatia’s Heavy Defeat to England

A report claims Luka Modric was left devastated after Croatia suffered a 7-0 defeat to England in the UEFA Nations League. The veteran midfielder was quoted as saying the result damaged the reputation Croatia had built over the years. He reportedly urged the squad to reflect, stay united and respond positively in their next fixture against Spain. The reported scoreline would rank among Croatia’s heaviest defeats since the country gained independence in 1991.
