DSS Rearrests Miyetti Allah President Bello Bodejo After EFCC Bail Release
The Department of State Services reportedly rearrested Bello Bodejo, national president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, shortly after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission released him on bail in Abuja. His wife said DSS operatives waited outside the EFCC headquarters before taking him away in three vans. She questioned the basis for the rearrest and raised concerns about his health, alleging that his doctor had been denied access during his detention. Bodejo is facing a 12-count EFCC charge over alleged money laundering involving about $2.63 million. He has pleaded not guilty. The DSS has not publicly stated why it took him into custody again.
