Operation Hadin Kai Rescues 10 NECO Candidates in Borno, Hunt Continues for Remaining Victim

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai rescued ten NECO candidates and two teachers abducted in Lassa, Askira Uba LGA of Borno State. The attack targeted the Technical Secondary School during exams and prompted an immediate air and ground rescue mission near Daggu. After a fierce firefight, all rescued victims were found unharmed. Security forces recovered seven motorcycles and inflicted losses on the attackers. Unfortunately, one soldier and a Civilian Joint Task Force volunteer died in the operation. Operations have been intensified to locate the final victim and dismantle the terrorist cells. Security has been reinforced around schools and vulnerable communities.
