Bolt Cleared to Resume Services at FAAN-Managed Airports

Bolt Cleared to Resume Services at FAAN-Managed Airports — 1 of 2
1 / 2

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has cleared Bolt to resume operations at all FAAN-managed airports after resolving issues around e-hailing services and airport transportation. FAAN said the temporary disruption was linked to safety, security and accountability concerns, including unregulated pick-ups, passenger solicitation and touting. The authority said its Airport Car Hire Rank Management System is meant to manage authorised airport taxi ranks, not compete with Bolt, Uber or other e-hailing platforms. The agency apologised to passengers over the inconvenience and high transport costs experienced during the disruption. It said passengers can now choose from authorised transport options, while discussions with other e-hailing operators continue.
