Andros Townsend Escapes Serious Injury After Pitch Roller Accident in Thailand
Former Premier League winger Andros Townsend escaped serious injury after a ride-on pitch roller struck him during a half-time warm-up for PT Prachuap in Thailand. Townsend reportedly stepped into the machine's path, was knocked down and partially trapped around his thigh and hip before staff stopped the roller. Teammates rushed to help after the alarming incident. Despite the scare, the 35-year-old remained on the bench and made a late substitute appearance. Townsend, who has played for Tottenham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Everton and Luton, joined PT Prachuap in August 2026.
