Ogun Police Arrest Two Suspected Cattle Thieves, Foil Abduction Attempt
The Ogun State Police Command says it arrested two suspected cattle thieves and recovered six cows allegedly stolen from a cattle enclosure in the Maskoli area of Sagamu. Police said officers acted on an emergency report and intercepted the suspects on the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode Expressway. A blue Nissan Cabstar truck allegedly used to transport the animals was also seized. Investigators are still searching for other suspects and the remaining cow. In a separate operation, highway patrol officers reportedly foiled a suspected abduction at Onigaari on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway after responding to gunshots. The suspects fled into nearby bushland, while the intended victim was rescued unharmed.
