Golden Eaglets Target Winning Start Against Niger in WAFU B U-17 Opener

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will face Niger Republic in their opening match of the 2026 WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ouagadougou on Tuesday. Head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere says the team is confident but will not underestimate Niger. Niger opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Côte d’Ivoire. A victory would send Nigeria top of Group B and secure a place in the semi-finals. The coach said his players have watched both group opponents and must use that advantage carefully.
