Midtjylland’s Alamara Djabi Stable After Lifesaving Surgery

FC Midtjylland midfielder Alamara Djabi is in stable condition after undergoing two operations in Denmark. The 19-year-old was seriously injured in a stabbing in Herning at around 3:30 am on Sunday, April 19, and was initially placed in an induced coma before waking up. The club is working closely with Danish authorities as they investigate the attack. Police say they are searching for a 20-year-old suspect with fair skin and short dark hair. Out of respect for the ongoing investigation, the club has asked for privacy for Djabi and his family at this difficult time. Djabi joined Midtjylland last summer from Portuguese side CD Mafra. He has featured in Europa League qualifying matches this season and was part of matchday squads for fixtures against Celtic, Roma, Genk and Dinamo Zagreb.
