Suleiman Kum Appointed Head of WAEC Nigeria Office
The West African Examinations Council has appointed Suleiman Kum as Head of its Nigeria National Office. He succeeds Amos Josiah Dangut, who is now the council's Registrar. Kum joined WAEC in 1998 and rose to the rank of Senior Deputy Registrar. Before the appointment, he served in the Office of the Head of National Office and previously held roles in administration, test administration, security printing and zonal operations. He has also worked on examination-security and computer-based testing initiatives, including the use of facial-recognition devices for attendance. Kum is from Langtang North in Plateau State and holds degrees in agriculture and education.
