Matawalle Seeks Czech Partnership for DICON Ammunition and Drone Production
Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle has led officials from the Ministry of Defence, DICON and NASENI on a three-day working visit to the Czech Republic. During a meeting with Czech defence officials in Ostrava, the delegation discussed expanding defence-industrial cooperation and improving DICON’s capacity to manufacture military hardware in Nigeria. Matawalle called for a Czech partnership to establish an ammunition production line in Nigeria and support technology transfer, including for unmanned aerial vehicles. The Czech side said it was willing to collaborate on strengthening Nigeria’s defence-production capabilities. The minister is also scheduled to visit defence and security manufacturing facilities in the Czech Republic.
