Living in Christ’s Finished Victory: Winning Every Battle
On Good Friday, Christ declared our sin debt paid in full. He showed God’s love by dying for us. In Him, we become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). His final cry, “It is finished” (John 19:30), seals our victory. Seven truths of Christ’s victory: 1. Sin’s debt fully paid (Isaiah 53:6) 2. Access to God restored (Hebrews 10:19) 3. Eternal and abundant life secured (John 10:10) 4. Sin’s power defeated (Romans 6:14) 5. Death conquered (1 Corinthians 15:55) 6. Darkness disarmed (Colossians 2:15) 7. Authority to overcome granted (Luke 10:19) Yet many believers still struggle. They live under guilt or ignorance of the finished work. They try to earn grace by works or cling to past sins. We must reject shame, embrace our new identity, and declare our victory daily. Imagine a man burdened by a debt already paid. He only found peace when he saw the “PAID IN FULL” receipt. Today, Christ has settled every debt against you. Will you live as if the work is incomplete, or will you walk in His finished victory? Lord, help us to stand firm in the freedom You have won. Amen.
