UNIZIK Inaugurates 33rd SUG Executives as VC Reaffirms Student-First Policy
Nnamdi Azikiwe University has inaugurated its 33rd Students’ Union Government Executive Council for the 2026/2027 academic session. The new officers were formally handed leadership responsibilities at a ceremony held by the Student Affairs Unit. The Vice-Chancellor said the university remains committed to a student-first approach, with plans to expand hostel accommodation and improve infrastructure. He also restated the institution’s zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment, extortion and other misconduct. Student Affairs officials announced proposed reforms to funding for departmental and faculty student bodies. They also said course representative elections would begin in the next academic session. The new SUG president pledged servant leadership, accountability and a stronger focus on student welfare.
