Abuja Woman Says Prayer Helped Her and Friends Escape Notice During 2022 Robbery

A woman has recounted how she, her brother and two friends survived an alleged armed robbery at their Abuja home in 2022. She said the incident happened around 3 a.m. at their estate in the Karsana area of Gwarinpa Extension, months after they moved in. According to her account, several armed men surrounded the house and forced their way inside while her brother tried to reach security personnel. She said she and two others stayed in her bedroom and began praying. She alleged that the intruders entered the room, shone a light around and searched the space, but acted as though no one was there. The woman believes prayer protected them during the incident.
