Military Says Air Strikes Killed 103 ISWAP Fighters in Borno and Adamawa
The military says coordinated air strikes killed 103 suspected ISWAP fighters across parts of Borno and Adamawa states between October 10 and 18. Operation Hadin Kai said the raids targeted insurgent hideouts and logistics sites in Gudumbali, Monguno and Gombi. A facility linked to Abu Saleem, identified as ISWAP’s Wali of South Lake Chad, was reportedly destroyed along with nine boat engines and several motorcycles. The military also reported that a strike on a gathering near Badu killed about 30 fighters. It said the sustained operations were intended to disrupt ISWAP’s leadership, supply routes and freedom of movement across the North-East.
