Viral Footage: Sydney Teens Attack Commuter for Asking to Turn Down Music — 1 of 2
1 / 2

A video circulating online shows a man being attacked by a group of teenagers on a Sydney train. The incident occurred on the T1 Western Line between Redfern and Strathfield at about 11:55pm on June 20. Witnesses say the teens boarded at Central Station with loud music and alcohol, disturbing other passengers. When the man politely asked them to lower the volume, they pushed him and then punched him on the top level of the carriage before dragging him down the stairs and striking him further. The train was held at Strathfield for around 15 minutes as police were called, but most of the group fled before officers arrived. The driver checked on the victim and arranged medical assistance, but he chose to continue his journey. Police are now urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
