Federal Ministry, FUATECH Partner on Livestock Development and Practical Training
The Federal Ministry of Livestock Development has pledged to partner with the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Obio Akpa, on livestock production, agricultural research and innovation. Minister Idi Mukhtar Maiha made the commitment during an assessment visit to the university on October 26. He toured the campus with Vice-Chancellor Joseph Essien and received a briefing on the institution’s development plans. The minister commended the university’s management and urged it to prioritise practical teaching. He said hands-on training is vital to producing the skilled workforce needed for Nigeria’s agriculture and livestock sectors.
