Yohanna Misses Out as Brighton Edge Getafe 1–0 in Conference League

Nigerian international Zadok Yohanna was absent as Brighton & Hove Albion beat Getafe 1–0 in Thursday’s UEFA Conference League fixture. The summer signing is still waiting to make his European debut for Brighton this season. Brighton controlled much of the match and created the better chances, but Getafe defended resolutely. The breakthrough came in the 64th minute when Malick Yalcouyé finished from close range after João Costinha headed Pascal Groß’s delivery across goal. Brighton also hit the woodwork twice, while goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen made four saves to preserve the clean sheet. The win gives Brighton seven points from three matches and extends their unbeaten European run.
