Family Seeks Justice After Anthony Is Allegedly Shot by Police in Port Harcourt
A family in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is demanding justice after Anthony was allegedly shot by police officers along Agip Road near Ada-George Road on August 29. His sister alleged that officers chased him while he was driving a Lexus, shot him, removed his jewellery and left him in the rain before driving away with his vehicle. These allegations have not been independently verified. A stranger reportedly took Anthony to hospital, where he later died. Youths protested at a police station as officers visited the family home and appealed for calm. Police said an autopsy would be conducted to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
