Masaka Market Food Prices: A Cheaper Option Near Abuja
I will be sharing prices of grains, vegetables and tubers from Masaka Market in Nasarawa State. The market is close to Abuja and may offer a cheaper alternative to Zuba and Madalla markets. This is harvest season for many grains and tubers, so prices are currently lower. It may be a good time to buy food items for storage before prices rise in the coming months. Masaka Market holds every Friday. Farmers from nearby villages, as well as suppliers from Benue and Plateau states, bring produce directly to the market. On my last visit, I found good prices on yam, beans, cassava flour, groundnuts, onions and dry fish. I will share photos and current prices when I visit the market again.
