Multi-Agency Operation Frees Oriire Schoolchildren, Governors Celebrate

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum has welcomed the rescue of all schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oriire, Oyo State. In a statement from the Forum’s chairman, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the governors congratulated President Bola Tinubu and praised months of coordination, intelligence gathering and disciplined execution that led to the breakthrough. They highlighted the strong cooperation between the Oyo State and Federal Governments and paid tribute to the professionalism of security forces involved in the operation. The Forum also appealed to citizens to continue providing timely information to security agencies to help prevent further attacks and secure the release of other victims.
