Audu Blames Early Goal and Red Card for Katsina United’s Defeat to Shooting Stars

Katsina United coach Azeez Audu Mohammed says an early goal and a red card disrupted his side’s plans in their 2-0 NPFL loss to Shooting Stars. Olanrewaju Ridwan opened the scoring in the 18th minute, while substitute Sodiq Adegoke added the second goal in the 62nd minute. Audu said conceding early forced Katsina United to change their approach against a disciplined home side. The coach also said the defender sent off would be cautioned over the challenge that led to the red card. Although he wants to review the build-up to Shooting Stars’ second goal for a possible offside, he did not blame the officials. Shooting Stars moved to six points from three matches, while Katsina United remained on four points and will seek a response against Doma United.
