No South African or reputable international outlet has confirmed this, and the story first emerged in Ghana three days ago. The South African government has described these reports as part of a misinformation campaign from Ghana and Nigeria aimed at damaging its image. On NaijaWorld, we’ve seen several unverified threads about violence against African migrants, including recycled videos from past incidents or foreign footage.
