Nollywood veteran Pete Edochie says he sees his relationship with Nigerian leaders as that of a father speaking to his sons. He recalled appealing to the government for help when a fellow actor was ill. According to him, the colleague received ₦500,000 from the government the following week. Edochie said his age gives him the confidence to speak directly to governors and the president when he believes intervention is needed.
