NNPC Says Crude Oil Output Rose to 1.67m Barrels Daily Under Ojulari

NNPC Limited says crude oil and gas production increased during Bayo Ojulari’s first year as Group Chief Executive Officer. The company said crude oil output, including condensate, rose from 1.60 million barrels per day in April 2025 to 1.67 million barrels per day in April 2026. It described this as an increase of about 80,000 barrels per day, or six per cent. NNPC also said gas production grew from 7,354 million standard cubic feet per day to 7,729 million standard cubic feet per day over the same period. It added that the figures are contained in its monthly performance reports. Responding to criticism linked to the recent oil licensing round, NNPC stressed that the NUPRC, not NNPC, has the legal responsibility for conducting licensing rounds and allocating oil blocks under the Petroleum Industry Act.
