Python Gets Trapped in My Groundnut Farm Fence

1 / 4

While harvesting palm fruits from my farm, I decided to check my groundnut plot for squirrel damage. Last year, squirrels ate the entire harvest, so I fenced the farm with fishing net this season. As I approached the plot, I saw that the net had trapped a large python. I killed it with my machete because it posed a risk around the farm. I gave the snake away because I do not eat snakes. Later, I learned that it could have sold for more than ₦20,000. Farming always comes with surprises.
