Osun SDP Denies Endorsing APC Governorship Candidate, Calls Adoption Letter Fake

The Osun State chapter of the Social Democratic Party has denied endorsing or adopting the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate ahead of the August 15 election. The party said a letter circulating in public, which claims it adopted the APC candidate, is false and did not come from its recognised state leadership. It also alleged that some people were impersonating party officials and using its letterhead without authorisation. SDP State Chairman Funso Timothy Fabiyi and Secretary Bolanle Abraham said the party has not endorsed any candidate from any political party. They urged residents, party members and stakeholders to disregard unauthorised communications.
