Rivers United assistant coach Yemi Olanrewaju says conceding twice within the opening 20 minutes against FC San Pedro was the club’s worst performance in recent years. The Port Harcourt side drew 2-2 with the Ivorian club in the CAF Champions League preliminary-round return leg in Uyo. San Pedro scored through Adéwimi Alabi and Issouf Dosso before Rivers United responded with second-half penalties from Chukwuemeka Mbaoma and Douglas Iyowuna. The tie ended 3-3 on aggregate, with San Pedro progressing on the away-goals rule. Rivers United will now turn their attention to the NPFL and the President Federation Cup.
