Lionel Messi to Executive Produce Disney+ Animated Series, Messi and the Giants

Lionel Messi is set to executive produce a new Disney+ animated series titled Messi and the Giants, scheduled to premiere globally in summer 2027. The story follows a 12-year-old version of Messi, who is trapped in an alternate world ruled by giants. He must compete in soccer-inspired challenges and use powerful orbs to find his way home. The project is being developed with Sony Music Vision and Sony Pictures Television. A teaser was unveiled at a Comic-Con presentation, while the series is also expected to air on Disney Channel in the United States.
