Lagos Blue Line to Add FESTAC, Alakija and Trade Fair Stations by February 2027
Lagos State plans to open three additional Blue Line rail stations in FESTAC, Alakija and Trade Fair by the end of February 2027. The expansion will extend train operations beyond Mile 2 and raise the number of operating Blue Line stations from five to eight. It is expected to give more residents and commuters an alternative to road travel. The Blue Line currently serves Marina, National Theatre, Iganmu, Alaba and Mile 2. The state also says work is progressing on Quality Bus Corridors and interchange hubs at Marina and Mile 2 to improve connections between rail and bus services.
