Super Falcons Crash Out of WAFCON 2026 After 1-0 Defeat to Cameroon

Former Nigerian international Abiodun Obafemi has criticised the Super Falcons after their 1-0 quarter-final defeat to Cameroon at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Myriam Nyadjou scored the decisive goal from a free-kick in Casablanca, ending Nigeria’s title defence and marking the first time the Super Falcons have failed to reach the competition’s semi-finals. Cameroon will face hosts Morocco in the semi-finals, while Nigeria must play South Africa for a chance to reach the inter-confederation playoffs for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
