Germany Jobs Without a Degree? Enang Says Skilled Nigerians Have Options
Nigeria’s envoy to Germany, Senator Ita Enang, says Nigerians with vocational and technical skills may find work there without a university degree. He pointed to fields such as driving, hospitality, woodworking, welding and construction in an interview with Arise TV. He cautioned that applicants still need to meet visa requirements, obtain any qualifications required for their chosen occupation and, in many cases, learn German. Enang said he was studying Germany’s immigration and labour laws to better understand the process. He also said he had discussed the possibility of a labour migration agreement with German officials. His aim, he said, is to help Nigerians gain skills they can use both in Germany and back home.
