Aduku Backs Falconets After Late U-20 Women’s World Cup Exit
Falconets coach Moses Aduku says Nigeria’s young players have a bright future despite their 1-0 quarter-final loss to Colombia at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Valerin Loboa scored in the 92nd minute to send Colombia into the semi-finals. Nigeria goalkeeper Christianah Uzoma, Tosin Rafiu, Janet Akekoromowei and Ramotalahi Kareem were among the players who impressed during the tournament. Aduku said the competition gave the players valuable experience and would help them develop for the next stage of their careers.
