Police Allege Family Insider Aided Kidnapping of Adelabu's Sister and Twins

The Oyo State Police Command says a family insider may have helped kidnappers abduct the sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu and her twin sons. Mrs. Olaide Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twins were taken on June 3 as she drove them to school in the Ring Road area of Ibadan. Their disappearance prompted a coordinated rescue operation by security agencies. Police report that two suspects died in a shoot-out and weapons were recovered. Other suspects are in custody. Investigators now believe an aide linked to the Adelabu family provided information that enabled the abduction. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and anyone found involved will face prosecution. They warn that insider leaks often fuel kidnappings and urge families to protect sensitive information.
