Adebayo Warns Tinubu Could Be 'Caught Off Guard' by 2027 Election Defeat

Adewole Adebayo says President Bola Tinubu may be so detached he won’t be surprised if he loses the 2027 election. Speaking on SYMFONI, the former SDP candidate criticised Tinubu’s governance style and alleged a disconnect from ordinary Nigerians. Adebayo pointed to economic hardship, insecurity and weakened oversight of government agencies as evidence of eroding public confidence. He accused both the presidency and National Assembly of neglecting constitutional duties and urged stronger checks and balances. He outlined a vision centred on economic reforms, job creation, affordable energy and infrastructure rehabilitation. Adebayo believes future election outcomes will hinge on whether leaders truly address citizens’ concerns.
