Honouring Excellence: My Inspiring Visit to Jesuit Memorial College, Port Harcourt
Today, I paid a courtesy call on Rev. Fr. Maduabuchi Leo Muoneme, SJ, President of Jesuit Memorial College, Port Harcourt. It was inspiring to witness how the school has grown since its founding in 2013 into a centre of academic excellence, character formation, and service. During our conversation, Fr. Abuchi and I reflected on my years as a pioneer member of the College’s Board of Governors from 2013 to 2021. I fondly recalled the letter of appreciation from the Provincial Superior of the Society of Jesus and the commemorative plaque that thanked me for my selfless service, generosity, and commitment. Those years remain very meaningful to me. I am grateful to have played a small part in JMC’s journey and I commend the Jesuit community for their unwavering dedication to shaping young minds and forming the future leaders our society needs.
