Free Urban Yam Farming Training Opens for Interested Nigerians
The Dolapo-Frank Farmers Organization is inviting interested Nigerians to join its Yam Revolution Initiative under the Urban Container Gardening Programme. The free programme will train participants to grow yam in sacks and containers, helping urban and peri-urban households improve food security and create income opportunities. Smallholder farmers, youth and women groups, unemployed graduates, retirees, agribusiness enthusiasts and households with limited space can apply. Training covers yam-in-sack production, organic manure preparation, minisett technology, pest management, value addition and digital farm mapping. Applicants should submit their name, phone number, residential address and LGA through the organisation’s stated application channels before 30 October 2026.
