Don’t Hesitate to Shoot Terrorists, Defence Minister Warns Soldiers
General Christopher Musa (rtd) cautioned troops that any soldier who waits for orders before engaging terrorists will be treated as a terrorist. He spoke at the commissioning of 62 armoured vehicles and over 300 motorcycles supplied by the Sokoto State Government on July 8, 2026. Musa urged security personnel to act decisively within the rules of engagement. He stressed they must protect law-abiding citizens and avoid harassment or extortion. The new assets will improve mobility and operational effectiveness against banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and other violent crimes in challenging terrain.
