Months After Abduction, CAC Eda-Oniyo Worshippers Rescued in Ekiti
The Ekiti Police Command says worshippers kidnapped during an April 28 attack on Christ Apostolic Church, Eda-Oniyo, have been freed after months in captivity. The victims were rescued through intelligence-led operations by the Nigeria Police Force, the military, Amotekun Corps, local hunters and other security agencies. They have been taken to hospital for medical checks and treatment. The Commissioner of Police, Falade Adegoroye, praised the professionalism and teamwork of all security stakeholders. He also thanked the state government and residents for their support and urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through the command’s emergency line.
