Group Seeks Probe of Alleged Takeover of 2.5-Hectare Karmo Property

Group Seeks Probe of Alleged Takeover of 2.5-Hectare Karmo Property

The Competent Governance for Accountability and Civic Trust has asked the FCT Administration and security authorities to investigate an alleged attempt to take over a 2.5-hectare property in Karmo, Abuja, claimed by Manec Homes Limited. The group said the parties had submitted land documents to the relevant FCDA authorities for verification. It urged an independent review of claims that a 2007 Letter of Intent was issued to Bijou Properties Limited, despite reports that the company was incorporated in 2022. It also called for an investigation into allegations that armed military personnel were deployed to the disputed site and that connections were being used to influence the matter. The group stressed that all claims should be independently verified and resolved through due process.
