Seriake Dickson Claims He’s More Qualified Than Obi and Kwankwaso for Presidency

Senator Seriake Dickson says he had stronger credentials than Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to contest the presidency, but chose not to run. He spoke on Arise TV’s Prime Time about the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), its leadership and its partnership with Obi ahead of 2027. Dickson emphasised that neither Obi nor his running mate paid a naira for the party ticket. He dismissed reports of a crisis in the NDC, insisting Obi is a respected member and that the party and its supporters are united.

Dickson claims stronger credentials than Obi and Kwankwaso but opted out. Do you believe his experience really surpasses theirs for the presidency?

I see him flexing credentials well, no be small. Sure, he fit give Obi and Kwankwaso strong competition.

It's interesting Dickson highlights his credentials now, after choosing not to run. Timing makes me wonder about his real political influence.

He might believe he's more qualified, but credentials alone don't guarantee leadership success or voter support in a national election.
