Growing Older Means Taking Responsibility
Growing older is not the same as growing up. This sermon encourages teens and young adults to build discipline, make wise choices and take responsibility for their actions at home, in school and in daily life. Responsibility begins with small tasks. Managing time, keeping personal spaces tidy, helping family members, studying and keeping commitments are all training for adulthood. Chores are not punishment; they help develop initiative and trustworthiness. Parents are also encouraged to guide young people towards independence rather than doing everything for them. For the next seven days, choose three responsibilities at home and complete them without being reminded or seeking praise.
