Katsina Emir Urges Yari, Tinubu Campaign Council to Avoid Empty Promises

The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, has urged Abdulaziz Yari and members of President Bola Tinubu’s campaign council to avoid making promises they cannot fulfil. During a courtesy visit at his palace in Katsina, the emir called for issue-based politics, respect for opposing views and greater accountability to Nigerians. He warned against political hostility, falsehoods and character assassination. He also raised concerns about economic hardship in northern Nigeria, including the struggles faced by farmers and the decline of industries that once created jobs. The emir urged political leaders to focus on practical solutions that improve citizens’ lives.
