Wike Approves Promotion of 3,592 FCT Civil Servants

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has approved the promotion of 3,592 civil servants after the conclusion of the 2025 promotion exercise. The FCT Civil Service Commission said senior officers took their examinations from July 1 to 3, while junior staff wrote theirs on July 10. The promotions were announced as part of activities marking President Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary in office. The commission has also been directed to begin the 2026 promotion exercise immediately so eligible staff can be promoted without delay. Officials said future promotions will remain merit-based, competitive and subject to available vacancies.
