US DHS Names 24 Nigerians Arrested in Immigration Enforcement Crackdown
The US Department of Homeland Security has published the names and photographs of 24 Nigerian nationals arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement during ongoing immigration enforcement operations. DHS linked the arrests to alleged offences including fraud, money laundering, drug-related crimes, identity theft, assault, forgery and child cruelty. The arrests took place in several US states. The agency said it is prioritising non-citizens with criminal records for removal. However, the announcement does not confirm that all 24 people have been deported or state the outcome of their individual immigration cases.
