Should I Relocate to Canada or the US When I Already Have Businesses in Nigeria?

I need honest advice from people with experience living in Canada or the United States. I have rental properties with about 25 tenants, as well as rented shops and shops run by my workers. My wife also earns well from her job. We are comfortable in Nigeria, but she believes relocating would help us build far greater wealth within five years. People keep telling us that we can earn much more abroad, but I do not want to make a costly decision based on hype. For those who relocated with established businesses or assets in Nigeria, is moving financially worthwhile? What should we realistically expect in the first few years?
