Tinubu Praises Security Forces for Rescuing Oriire Schoolchildren and Teachers

President Tinubu has welcomed the safe rescue of pupils and teachers kidnapped in the Oriire community of Ogbomoso, Oyo State. He commended the military, the DSS and the police for working around the clock over the past 56 days to secure the release without collateral damage. Eight abductors were arrested while others were neutralised. The President expressed regret over the anguish faced by the victims’ families and vowed justice for the rescued children, their teachers and the family of Mr. Oyedokun, who was killed by the terrorists. He directed emergency agencies and the Oyo State Government to provide medical and relief support and urged improved security measures around schools across the state.
