What Do You Wish? A Lesson From Achsah’s Bold Request
Today’s devotional reflects on Achsah’s request to her father, Caleb, in Judges 1:14. Though she had received land, she recognised that it needed water to become fruitful. She therefore made a clear and purposeful request. The lesson is that faith is not passive. Like Achsah, we can bring specific needs to God, especially the needs that will help us use the gifts, opportunities and responsibilities already placed in our hands well. Do not wait until frustration sets in before praying about a gap in your life. Ask boldly, clearly and in faith for what will make your God-given assignment fruitful.
