Tansian University VC Alleges He Was Locked Out After Medical Trip
Professor Eugene Okoye Nwadialor says he was denied entry to Tansian University after returning from medical treatment abroad. He alleges that the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cater Dike Nnamdi Umeh, was appointed acting vice-chancellor during his absence. Nwadialor says he travelled after formally handing over to Umeh and did not resign or receive a letter ending his appointment. He maintains that his tenure was renewed and should run until May 2030, while the university leadership allegedly told him his appointment had expired. He has asked the National Universities Commission and the Committee of Vice-Chancellors to examine the university's records and determine whether due process was followed in the leadership change.
